Water & Sewer Rates

WATER RATES

  • First 1,000 gallons(minimum bill) - $11.22
  • Each additional 1000 gallon - $5.08
  • Surcharge - $15.00

*Water rates are established via city ordinances Chapter 92 Water Rates Section 92.02

Bills must be paid by the tenth (10th) day of the following month. Bills not paid when due shall be considered delinquent. A one-time late penalty of ten percent (10%) of the amount due shall be added to each delinquent bill.

If payment is not received by the twentieth (20th) of the month a notice will be sent to each delinquent customer that service will be discontinued. The notice will inform the customer the amount due and the date of the hearing prior to the discontinuance.

If no appearance is made by the customers at the hearing, nor any written statement submitted prior to the hearing, service shall be disconnected by 9:00 a.m. the day following the hearing.

Water service charges remaining unpaid and delinquent shall constitute a lien upon the premises served and shall be certified by the Clerk to the County Treasurer for collection in the same manner as property taxes.

SEWER RATES

  • First 2,000 gallons(minimum bill) - $25.32
  • Each additional 1000 gallon - $3.54
  • Surcharge - $10.00

Bills must be paid by the tenth (10th) day of the following month. Bills not paid when due shall be considered delinquent. A one-time late penalty of ten percent (10%) of the amount due shall be added to each delinquent bill.

DEPOSIT: There is a one hundred ollar($100) deposit intended to guarantee the payment of bills for service. The deposit will be waived if the customer/owner can show proof of previous timely payment for the prior twelve (12) consecutive months.
