Building Inspections

Brian Wirtz, Building Inspector for the City of Gilbertville will assist you for city inspections in regards to remodeling or new home and commercial building inspections excluding electric permits. You will find building forms pertinent to the City of Gilbertville’s building inspection process below or you can obtain them at city hall. Fees are determined after the submission of the building application form. The City Building Inspector can be contacted by calling or emailing city hall at gvilleclerk@mediacombb.net.

All Electrical Permits are managed by the State of Iowa Inspector and do not go through the City office. Please contact the State Inspector with requests or questions.
